Not trying to get political here. This is not really a bash on any politician. If you must know I really don’t like many politicians as I feel most do not properly represent their constituency base and lie to them to stay in power. Now I will also be honest, I don’t like Trump. It is not about his political stances, but him as a human being, but also for the previous reasons given. The reasons I don’t like Biden are the same reasons I gave earlier.

Now back to non-partisan politics. Linked down below is the link to the CBS article that I saw this on. I myself have been against many of the sections of FISA, especially sections that were added after 9-11. I feel that way because I have an extreme dislike for secret government organizations. And that is exactly what this created. It was the beginning of the US’s version of the KGB.

Now I am not an expert on the FISA Bill, but I do remember 9-11 very vividly. I remember how time stopped as everyone watched. What I also remember is the fear that happened afterwards and the fear mongering. It came from everywhere. Entertainment had stories about terrorists, majority of which were middle eastern, despite terror organizations being all over the world. Seeing a similar thing now about White Extremism here in America.

Politicians used it as a way to keep their constituents support. They fearmongered and caused people to fear innocent people who were only trying to make a living. Same thing is happening now, just once again with Extremism here. For example Republicans demonize Antifa, and Democrats demonize Maga. When all they are doing is alienating those they may be able to debate with and forcing everyone into own little clicks where they can feed and reinforce their narrative with those who are doing the same thing.

I hate the fact that there was very little transparency. I hate the fact that the very people that voted the bill into Law were the same ones providing oversite. I hated the fact that we saw people being drug in and convicted of serious crimes when law enforcement should have just watched an monitored to act as a point of intervention. There were too many situations that came out in the news where law enforcement pretty much walked the person through being a terrorist when the only thing they had done before was visited a website. Don’t get me wrong, watch monitor, maybe even find some way to deter them from doing it so that they can stay a productive member of society rather than become a burden of society when we throw them in prison.

Suffice it to say, those of you still interested, don’t follow what I say as it is all anecdotal evidence that formed my opinion. I recommend reading the bill itself in its current form and reach out to your federal representatives to let them know how you feel about the bill status.
